This past Sunday Rui Costa gave a final farewell to his fantastic football career. He left like the true champion that he really is with a 3-0 victory against Vitória FC. The ex-Portugese international had this to say after Benfica’s victory, “It is over. In the midst of my sadness about retiring, I am overjoyed that it ended this way.” After 18 years of football, Rui Costa leaves his fans with many great memories and a sadness for the world of football loses another great.
