ITALY SOCCER SERIE AAfter weeks of speculation this absurd saga of Kaka and City can finally come to a close with a happy ending for those who love Milan and Kaka of course. I think that it can be said that this whole negotiation had everyone at the edge of their seats including myself, but a part of me knew that Kaka would make the right choice in the end and stay with those who love and appreciate him. Yes the money was tempting but Kaka is just another type of player that did not fall for its seduction. He simply could not be bought. Any other player may have taken the bait but Kaka had other visions of what was right, and none of that could be bought with money. City has the riches but in Milan he has the love of the rossoneri, which came out in forces to demonstrate the anger of touching one of their one.  A clear message was sent: ‘You want Ricky you first have to go through us!’ I thank them from all the way in California for doing and voicing the frustration that they felt and that other Milan supporters felt all over the world.

grow-old1 ” I want to grow old with Milan”, where words that I knew he meant and would not break. Kaka is a man of his word with morals and values, which he proved on Monday.  Like I said he simply is another kind of player that makes him so unique and although some will disagree, he really is irreplaceable. Not only for the qualities and skill he demonstrates week after week on the pitch, but the grand persona that he truly is makes him a complete package that no money and no other new player can give to this institution. Maybe I am a hopeless romantic of the belief that a player can devote himself entirely to a single club, but Kaka has allowed for this hopeless romantic to continue to believe in the dream.

**Berlusconi wants to take credit for canceling the negotiations for the Brazilian, claiming that he would never sell Milan’s most prized asset but we all know that he is at fault for this whole mess. Kaka still is a Milan player because he chose to stay not because Berlusconi decided to intervene at the last minute. Please we supporters are not ignorant so do not feed the fans your heroic bull. The truth is that for the management Kaka does have a price tag and were willing to accept the cash for this gem of a player that has thankfully remained faithful to the Rossoneri cause.

Should Kaka Leave?

kaka-transfer

When I hear the rumors of Manchester City insisting that Kaka could join them I usually laugh it off. Kaka many times before has clearly stated that he is happy at Milan and has no plans to leave, but still the rumors persist. If he did not go to Chelsea or Madrid then why would he leave to mid table and below Manchester City? They clearly are delusional or maybe it is all true and their actually is negotiation for the brazilian. Some reports go onto state that Milan are willing to give up Kaka for a fee of €100 million. If this is true it saddens me to hear that Milan would give up their best player just for the tempting money. It further saddens me to hear that others (e.g Gianni Rivera and some fans) are encouraging the transfer to happen. Yes it is a lot of money and we could assume that with it Milan could invest by bringing new players, but I ask what happened to the money earned when Sheva was transferred to Chelsea? Was it spent on rebuilding the squad with young players? Absolutely not, so how can the rossoneri fans be so secured that Milan will invest the money wisely. To fall for the seduction of the money would be Milan’s biggest sin.
