Villa Doing the 7 Justice

After the long debate if Raul would return to play for Spain it ultimately ended with Aragones slamming the door on his face. The next question was who would wear Raul’s symbolic 7 jersey. Villa would be the one next in line to inherit the 7 and has certainly proved that there is no better striker in Spain to wear the old captains number.

The great David has had an incredible start in the Euro scoring four goals in two games and has become Spain’s most important player. Despite not having the greatest season with Valencia he is showing his innate goal scoring skills in one of the world’s greatest stage. When games are in a dead lock he has been the one player to give Spain the victory. If Spain continue to hold onto his hand while he leads with his goals, why not dream of winning?  Spain better hope that he continues in this sweet goal scoring moment. It is certain that he will write a new chapter for Spain wearing the 7.
